| GENIE HEADERS |
Genie Header design have a great effect on engine performance and no, all headers are not alike. The primary tubes from each exhaust port come together at the collector. These primary tubes create a suctioning effect, called scavenging, which actually helps draw the exhaust gases out of the cylinder.
This scavenging effect works in conjunction with the engine's own natural vacuum to actually help pull in the fresh fuel charge. To accomplish this with maximum efficiency, the length and diameter of the primary tubes must correspond to many factors, including engine size, vehicle weight, gearing, and expected rpm range.
Genie Performance Headers have two different styles of header to suit the differing requirements of motorists. The tuned length design is specifically for motorists who run their vehicle at very high revs.
The interference design is specifically for average city and suburban motoring where more back pressure is required than is available from the tuned length design. |
