Brake Guard is a mechanical (non-electronic) 4 wheel safety system that converts a vehicle's existing hydraulic brake system to an air-over-hydraulic system automatically. The device installs easily under the vehicle's hood in 30 to 45 minutes.

Brake Guard Safety System is possible through unique engineering called hydro-equalization. Meaning the hydraulic pressures in the brake lines are equalized at all four wheels. This is accomplished by modifying the braking system from a hydraulic to an air-over-hydraulic system. The air is precharged around the outer periphery of each metering system and allows the metering system to function within the parameters needed to operate with the pressures already existing in the the brake lines during light, medium, or hard braking ensuring optimum response time when brakes are applied.

The system constantly modulates brake line pressure thus constant equalization in pressures and full contact is maintained with more braking surface used between the shoes/drums and rotor/pads. This decreases brake wear and tear and inhibits wheel lockup, increasing brake life and stopping the vehicle in a significantly shorter distance.
